What is Venturing?

Venturing is a co-ed program created by the Boy Scouts of America for young men and women who have similar interests in a multitude of experience areas including but not limited to high adventure, drama and sports.
The focus of Crew 572 is high adventure activities such as those offered at Philmont, Northern Tier and Sea Base. The crew may choose to schedule outdoor activities including canoeing, snow and water skiing, horseback riding, camping, hiking, backpacking, rock climbing and rappelling, orienteering and also to enhance our member's life experiences with positive social activities, and community service.

Who are we?

Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and members of Troop 572 started Venture Crew 572 as an organization for young men and women in the Potomac Falls , Sterling and surrounding community who are at least 14 years of age, who have completed the 8th grade, and are no more than 20 years of age.
